Framing Art on Paper

Art on Paper can take may forms - Original watercolour painting, single photos, limited edition prints, mass produced posters.

As paper is more prone to damage and dirt, most paper based art should be put behind glass to protect it.   We can provide many types of glass, including non-reflective and UV filtering, plus plastic glazing and toughened glass if required.

To protect artwork from condensation build up on glass, a mount should also be fitted and generally enhances the overall appearance of the artwork, particularly if a double mount combination is applied.  We have over 100 different colours of mount in stock, all of which are acid free and many of which conform to conservation standards.

All frames are backed with a water resistant acid free backing board for the protection of your artwork against acid and moisture, and are fitted with appropriate hangings.

The French Engraving, above, was framed in an ornate period style frame and slip to match with a conservation mount and UV filtering glass.

The picture of Guildford High Street, left, was framed with a brown inner mount and frame to compliment the colours in the picture.

The grafitti art below was float mounted so that the edges of the paper were still visible and framed in a deep box frame.
